Young Film-Makers. Get seen on the BIG screen

Would you like your film seen on the big screen?

Get seen, get heard, find an audience.

If you’re working with young people in and around the South London area, you can get their films shown for free on the big screen at the BFI Southbank, as part of one of our quarterly Beautiful South screenings.

Seeing your film in a cinema is an important learning experience. Not only is the film louder and more spectacular on a big screen, being part of an audience of strangers also gives you a fantastic new perspective on your work. It’s the best way of gauging responses to your work and learning how to communicate with an audience.

Beautiful South is also an amazing opportunity to check out the competition and see other films made by young people and first-time film-makers.

At each session we invite established film-makers to talk about their careers and answer the young people’s questions. Past guests include Tom Harper (Cubs); Gary Love (Sugarhouse) and Paul Andrew Williams (London To Brighton).
